Can anyone else share their expertise concerning HP and Epson printers?

The all suck about equally. And just when you think it's working - you'll be out of ink.

Hahahahaha, that's probably as cynical a statement I have heard in a while. Boy, you must have bad luck with your stuff.

I made that statement about HP, because of a deskwriter 550C I owned way back when. It was garbage and very expensive.
My next printer was an Epson 740, it is still working in a friend's basement as we speak. I moved on to an Epson 900 & 980 as they both take the double sized ink cartridges. I don't believe I ran any original Epson ink in them except for the ones they came with. Never a moment of trouble. I have 2 Epson C-80's as well, but will probably NOT use generic ink in them as they aren't as wasteful having individual cartridges for the 3 colours.

I hear that Okidata has a reasonably priced line of colour laser printers. I am seriously considering one of them in the near future. Any feedback on them would be appreciated.
