This one has me stumped.

I have an Adaptec 2940UW with 1 80 pin hard disk attached via 80 pin/68/50
pin converter. I can't get this to complete initialization from FWB
(Unknown HDT error), or Drive Setup (Initialization failed).

I have an active terminator on the end of the 68 pin cable.

If I hook it to the 50 pin port on either the motherboard or the 2940UW, it
works fine.

The 68 pin connector was working fine, until I removed all my RAM and
replaced it with new RAM, 12 x 32 MB = 384 (it had 192 MB), all matched.
Sometime near when I did this, it stopped being reliable.

Can the RAM cause this? I can't imagine...

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!

--> Russ
