Yup: I tried the original Apple cable, then I tried a brand new one that
I'd never used before. I don't _know_ for a fact that either one is ok, but
with the second one I'd assume its good (i.e. I would have to prove its bad
for me to believe its bad...).

The second one was one that came with an Adaptec card (not the 2940UW
though), and I never needed so its been sitting in a box for years.

I should also mention that this is occurring with the original SCSI card
from the machine - a ??? StreamLogic HAMMER Ultra SE ??? (never heard of it
before...).
