Those fireballs are very reliable drives.  I haven't had one go bad on me
yet, even though I've had quite a few newer drives go bad.  It makes one
wander why the company was sold.

Anyway, I have had a hard drive or two that made that clicking sound and
work flawlessly for a few years:  In all cases, though, they've made the
sound from the very beginning.  I've also had one or two that died after
they started making the sound.

I know that they have a self test at the beginning, and they don't spin up
at the beginning all the time (I believe there is a jumper for setting
this), so if its not making the noise after it spins up, I'd not be too
worried at this point, especially since it's a fireball.  If its going to
fail, it should do it sooner rather than later, so use it for a month or
two, and if its still working, I'd be even less concerned.

These are just my thoughts...  So take them for what they cost :-)
