5. Restarted you will now be operating from the CDs system OS (no matter what it is). Open up the kid's violated, sullied, bloodied and staggering but not completely bowed System Folder and trash it and empty trash.
Don't forget to move your fav app prefs files to the new system folder before trashing. That way you don't have to redo serial numbers and such.
6. Rename "Gleaming New Hero SF" as "System Folder" (no quotes of course) and make sure it is at the top level of the HD.
Then double-click on the new System Folder while holding down the option key. This "blesses" the folder, so it will be bootable.
7. Set the Control Panels/Startup Disk to the HD and restart.
