I have an 8500 which will not re-boot properly unless I shut it off and then quickly turn it back on with the power switch.
I am running OS 9.1 and OSX (Jaguar) on it.
It restarts just fine when I restart it with XPostFacto to switch to OSX.
Anyone know why and what I can do to fix it?
Replace the battery. The flipping the power like that is a quicky test for just that problem. BTW you can do the same thing by hitting reset (Command-Ctrl-Power) after startup.
