I'm seeing something similar on a G4.  I have not had much time to work on 
it.  My Beige G3 and Windows box on the same network behind a hardware 
firewall are not having any problems.  The network utility seems to work 
just fine for pings and traceroute stuff.  I'll try Mozilla and see if that 
helps.

Also my software update is unable to connect?  Is this related to any of 
the recent osx exploits?  Until I read this thread I thought it was just 
some weird thing on my box.  Now I'm not sure.
