How long should a low level format of a 160 Gig hard ATA Seagate drive take?
My 6500 has been at it for 13 hours. The drive is suspect.

What are you using to format it? Why not stop and restart and see if the Apple
Utility notices it as a drive in need of initializing?

If so, it'll do that so you can have it mounted and then test it with Norton.
