Hi, though I might put my two bits in... Hi, All >From a prepress point of view, almost every thing comes via email, CD-R, and DVD, and the odd zip disc, I have'nt got something on a Jaz disc for about 19 months.
For our own back-up we use DLT(30gig) drives, on 2 unix solaris servers, the data is also backed up on DAT tape via retrospect, completed work is on CD-R/DVD for easy retrieval by the typesetters. I guess what I getting around to is that(I have a storeroom of 8 jaz drives 5x 2gig and 3x 1gig, and most have never been used), whether the technology is good or not, what happens when the drive fails(even at home). At home I have a DAT drive running retospect(over night, monday-friday, 5 tape scenerio), and also burn completed stuff on to a cd(that any mac can read). At the very least get a CD burner, at the most get a DAT. Thats me two bits, Cheers Chris P.S.
