The plastic stiffens with age and breaks easily. Also they take quite a bit of side force to get them past the card far enough to get it out. A real waste of time. And as careful as you try to be it is always a crap-shoot whether it will break or not. And when they do ( and they will ) there is nothing to
hold the card firmly in it's slot.
The fancy metal strip that maintains ground contact with the case is subject to " wrinkling " which makes fitting the case overly
time consuming also.
I also used a razor saw to cut away part of the plastic frame blocking the hard drive cable area to make it easier to change drives.
There is plenty of strength there.
