Just be picky. Periodically, I've been buying batches of refirb HDs on eBay. A great deal if you're willing to buy a few xtra drives for dirt cheap and resell them. :)

And keep in mind that new IDE & SATA drives can be had for 50 to 80 cents per GB. So, depending on your needs, it might make sense to get a pci interface card and just walk away from SCSI...
