[...] I still like some of the features of the OS 9 better than the OS 10. Too bad I didn't wait about a month as they came out with OS10.4 which has some better features than 10.3. I think the G 3 is about the last one that will run both operating systems. Maybe some G 4's will.

I have to agree with you on that. On the other hand, OSX is as close to boilerplate as you can get. And if you DO get a hung program, you can always force quit that, and the rest of the computer is untouched. I recently "sinned" and went out and bought a brand new PowerBook 12". And I have to say, OSX is veery nice. I do have Classic on it (still not a Intel Mac), but hardly use it. I still have my old G3 which boots into OS9 that also can boot into OSX, so I can have the best of both worlds AND take it with me (whenever I'm home, I share the whole G3 with the G4 in OSX and the most important volumes in OS9 w/my G4). And the G3 takes care of my printers (being a print server in OSX) and can use my old SCSI-scanners in OS9. I have all the Macs on a little Ethernet hub, so hooking up is easy. With OSX, I have to use the old(?) Mac slogan: Think different. Its not a re-vamped OS9, it's something new. I have gotten used to it by playingv with it on my old G3 for almost a year, it seems, and have finally gotten used to it (more or less). Think of OSX as an operating system for these modern times, when the Web is everything and permeates everything we do.
