Hi Clint......seems like your computer has been giving you lots of headaches
lately.......can I ask when was the last time you did a format/clean
install?....it sure sounds like you need one
just my opinion.....but with all the IE window probs, xteq hosing your
registry, and now this, it would seem to me that all the time you are
spending trying to clean up that system, that a format would be faster and
less of a headache.....I assume you must have your data backed up and a
clean image of your drive so formatting isn't such a big deal......so, why
do you put yourself thru all this aggravation?
hope you don't take this the wrong way, but you just sound so frustrated and
I think your system sounds like it needs a good cleaning.......I used to go
thru this kind of stuff myself, but since I learned the benefits of imaging
my drives onto CD's, I don't put myself thru this aggravation any
more......I just format....it's so much easier, ya know?

Subject: PCWorks: PNG files & IE corrupted by "Fireworks"
I'm posting an update on this. Got no replies (well, one,
but that didn't work) on this yet. Macromedia "Fireworks"
has done some serious damage to this computer. The orig
problem was fireworks had hijacked all .png files. They
would ONLY open with Fireworks. IE would no longer open and
view them as it should.
