Just a thought.
IE 4 does not support viewing png files, (re: KB # Q174946) however I'm
assuming since you stated that you used the repair tool that you are using
IE 5.x
With the other problems you've been having with IE could all these be
related? Some kind of a mixture of IE 4 and 5 registry entries at the same
time due to a corrupt install of an upgrade some where along the way?
In my own setup I tried to open a png file with IE 5.5 and it opened it in
Fireworks. Not inside IE
It doesn't sound like a Macromedia problelm to me. Course that's just my
opinion........I could be wrong :)
