Done. Had � 8.6 Gs on C after format.
Wouldn't recognize CD after booting from floppy ("boot with Cd drivers").
Shutdown. Restart. Back to FAT16 or No FAT.
Now Fdisk says "NO Fixed disk".
I may have a bad cable. (I'll suspect the cable first rather than the HD :) )
