Well I have tried everything and I still can not get word to open without the
VBE6.dll error.
I tried to use Run and winword.exe /a and that opens word just fine.
I then deleted the normal.dot (which has never come back so far.) and that
did not change anything.
When I checked the startup folder I had Finereader5.0 in there but it will
not let me delete it. So I uninstalled Finereader and it is still in there.
I then deleted the data file in the register inside the word folder. Still
the same.
I then checked for the Proofing tools in the register and I can not find this
file! Figure it could be the problem but after uninstalling and reinstalling
Word still no such file. IE HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared
Tools\Proofing Tools.
I will now find the Eraser Utilities from MS and see if that helps.
TIA
Larry
