Thank you for your response - well that is very interesting; I was able to
get
them too until I did that install - now nothing - I even went back before on
a
restore too.  We are running the same system; I am wondering if I could have
gotten a bad install - Anyone know where I can find the download to try it
again?

I have Windows 98SE and I did the Windows Update that you are referring to.
I also have a web site with Java applets on it.  I use Internet Explorer 6
and Outlook Express 6.

I am happy report that my Java applets are working just fine so I suggest
that you have some other problem going on..........
