Somehow I get the feeling that my point is not coming across. I know how to correct backups (that's an easy find/replace function). What I'd like to know is if it is possible to make the corrections on the actual pages where they were put online with, for example, GeoCities' editors ... where each page has its own editor window.
How would I, for example, remove all the BLOCKQUOTE tags and substitute the MARGINWIDTH="50" tag on (let's say 100 pages, speaking most conservatively) without having to open each page's editor in the GeoCities "file manager". Roger is suggesting �Search and Replace� � so what does that do for each page that is online? Clint mentions viewing one's site on many browsers. He's right, but then how do I make those multiple changes? Peter mentions MetaPad � MSWord works well too, but how do they change the pages that I have online? Pete also mentions a CSS file � I have no idea what that is; sorry Peter; I'm sure you mean well :-) I know what the correct html tags are (though learning more about them every day). But how do I make those changes on pages that are already online, knowing that the only access to them is through the GeoCities editor windows, a separate window for each page? Seems the only way to do it is to open each page's editor window, and "hell no, that's won't go" ... I'm in NYC and everyone here is protesting something, so I might as well join the fun.
