The CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) file contains all the formatting tags used in your site. In the CSS file you can have your BLOCKQUOTE, your H1, your VLINK, your ALINK, etc. This saves room in your code but it saves time for you to make updates throughout the whole site. So lets say you want to change your background throughout your site from your current bluevelvetbkg.jpg to maybe greenvelvetbkg.jpg, all that would be required is to insert the new background into your backgrounds folder and make the change in the CSS file and instantly the change would be site wide. Edit one page rather than 100 pages is far simpler.

Seems the only way to do it is to open each page's editor window, and "hell no, that's won't go"
