You mean, when you click "Send" it doesn't automatically start
to check spelling like OE (+MSworks) does?

Thanks Peter,
I'm aware of hitting the send button, but it's an extra step.
OE stops spell checking at the end of your message..T-Bird
programmers should have thought
of that.

Just click the send button to stop the spell checker.

Unlike OE which does not come equipped with it's own spell
checker,
unless one installs an MS word processor. It's too bad OE
cannot work
with other word processors to get this functionality, or at
least have
M$ include one.

T'bird is excellent for searching mail as well, it is the
fastest for
mail clients, especially when you get vast mail files. I have
about 1
gig of mail and the search tool is so helpful. The spam
controls by way
of Bayesian filters are some of the best and they are quite
intuitive, I
get 95% accuracy without regular tweaking, more if I keep at
it.
