When I want to get art from pdf files I use the arrow (graphic tool). Hold down control and get a contextural menu- choose edit. The art will launch whichever program you have selected in your preferences to open which kind of file it is. I have Photoshop for raster and Illustrator for vector. Once the image is open in either program I save the file in that program as tif or eps. It can then be put in Quark document. Good luck, Bird To change your subscription: http://www.pdfzone.com/discussions/lists-pdfbasics.html
