Ted,

That sounds easy but I thought fdf files needed an Apache server and the old Adobe Acrobat developers kit.  But I’ve only been able to read about this.  Do you know were I might find an example or documentation for the ASP solution?  I regularly do limited ASP programming so I’m comfortable with ASP.

Thanks,

Ed

You'll need ASP or ColdFusion.

And you'll need to set the PDF up as a form, set a variable in the fdf file using input from the HTML page where the map is displayed. The fdf file is a simple text file that you can edit and then replace a variable with the appropriate sales persons name.

The sales persons name can be embedded in the map, or retrieved from a database

Is there a simple way to pass a text field into a PDF using simple ASP or HTML?  I have only a virtual domain at godaddy.com and can not install any server side services.  My goal is to have a map that will insert the proper sales persons  name when the users clicks a map on the Internet.
