Indeed it is incredibly confusing ; in the absolute, and compared to previous versions too.
Maybe I've spent too much time with it, but (with a few exceptions that I've gotten used ot), I find Acrobat 6 to be MUCH more intuitive and logically laid out in terms of UI than any previous version!
Now, I agree, that for existing users there is a definitely learning curve as to where things have moved to from previous versions - but the new locations are (mostly) better for new users just coming to Acrobat.
I am afraid Acrobat6 will be a turning point in the cycle of life of Acrobat.
Yes, for the better I hope...
ASN developers will remember too the extortion of money for Reader plugins
You are just not going to let this one go, are you?!?! Every chance you get, you feel the need to complain about this....Does it really make you feel any better? Have you talked to Adobe about it yet??
as well as important changes in SDK (has anybody tried to play with the two search engines in V6 ...)
Can you be specific as to your issues? The old engine is there ONLY to support opening/running old indices - otherwise you should be using the new one.
