Well, if that's the case, Mr. Davis, would you be so kind as to tell me the version of cygwin and the version of pdfedit you compiled without difficulty under it? I installed the latest cygwin (version 1.7.7) and tried both pdfedit 0.4.5 and the one just prior to it, I think 0.4.4.1 if I remember it right--perhaps if I back up to the versions you used I'll be successful. Also, do you remember if you ran configure with any switches, or just straight up? Ditto the make.
