Uh, OK. What I meant is that they never acknowledged it being a
problem with the inks. As I understand it, the premium glossy paper
didn't absorb the ink as much as the matte paper, so it let it in
contact with whatever gases that cause the cyan component to fade
out. There are people reporting the problem with other papers, not
only the old Premium Glossy.
Now, you might be right, maybe it's just a bunch of conspiracy
theorists. In any case, I'd like to see a good explanation on how the
paper alone can cause such fading. Not that I care too much, really, I
got my refund from Epson already (they even paid shipping to them!)
I'd buy another 1270 or 870 if I wanted to do color work; the quality
is excellent, and I'd use matte paper anyway.
