Well, I'm not an LPE, nor do I play one in movies, but here's something to
think about. First of all, I'm a little jealous. The 28-105 power zoom
is a sweet little lens by all accounts. Good zoom range, sharp, and it
covers a very nice range. Give yourself bonus points for not getting the
rebadged Tamron, and you should be feeling pretty good already. :)

Look at it this way... a good lens will last a lifetime. For a lousy few
hundred, you now have an excellent work of art that will help you take
beautiful photographs for as long as you want to keep it. And you know
that you deserve it. :)

How's that for a start?
