If all that needs replaced is the foam, that's probably about $50. Note: The
foam is small, thin, hard to see just behind the metal barrier at the top. I
had to get myself into good like and look for a minute or so before I saw
it. The LX is not necessarily a quiet camera, but it's not exceptionally
loud either. If all that needs replaced is the foam, that's probably about
$50. The 50mm f/2 is no big deal, but it's a lens. Even if you had to pay
another $100, you'd still have a decent deal, given the condition you
describe. You can get a lens cap anywhere, strap attachments are more
difficult.

Go to:
http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/hardwares/classics/pentaxlx/
to download a manual and also to see all of the available LX attachments,
screens, cutaway views and to get an excellent description of how the LX
works. This is a *large* section of a site containing many, many pages
devoted to the LX and it's attachments.

Old (generally):
    ASA to 1600
    KX style shutter lock
Exposure comp button does not light viewfinder LEDs.

New (generally):
    ASA to 3200
    Shell style shutter lock
Exposure comp button lights viewfinder LEDs.
