If all that needs replaced is the foam, that's probably about $50. Note: The
foam is small, thin, hard to see just behind the metal barrier at the top. I
Thanks, Bob. I took the LX to a local camera shop, and the repair guy would
not fix it as he did not have self-adhesive foam of that size. He said he
did not want to risk glueing in something and having the glue spill on the
screen. Well, he had no screen removal tool either (he has not seen an LX
in many moons). The whole deal is getting very sour to me.
Old (generally):
ASA to 1600
KX style shutter lock
Exposure comp button does not light viewfinder LEDs.
New (generally):
ASA to 3200
Shell style shutter lock
Exposure comp button lights viewfinder LEDs.
What the heck is KX style shutter lock? The LX I have before me has ASA up
to 3200, but exp comp button does not light the viewfinder LED's. The
number on the baseplate is 524xxxx.
thanks
dave
