A $150 CLA and upgrades from Pentax USA should make the focus
"right as rain". My used LX had the same problem, and a slight sticky
mirror problem on shutter release. All of that, and a new ISO resistor
(they wear out and get dirty), and a replaced self timer/dof preview button.
It was quite the good deal, and my LX works perfectly like new now. The
focus problem is due to where the mirror lands after each shot, and related
to wear in the foam rubber bumpers inside.
