Keep your eyes open for the Sigma 400/5.6 APO Macro. You can find it in both manual and autofocus K mounts. It's out of production now. I paid about US$ 550 about a year ago for a remaindered one. It might not be as good as the SMC-FA 400/5.6, but it's a heck of a lot cheaper, and a darned good lens. TTYL, DougF KG4LMZ
