You certainly said it about the MZ-S/ MZ-D, but nothing came of it, other
than another camera with an ugly user interface and too many "features".

> I agree with most of what your saying but key word is trust. Are anyone
believing in them anymore? And even if they do release nicer things are
anyone trusting enough to comit to them? At least these are valid questions.

You sound like you are talking yourself into an EOS.
Really, no company makes any commitments for the future. We just presume
that based on past performance, they will continue to do wonderful things.
People rarely commit to brands anymore. They buy what suits their needs,
when they need to buy.
There is a small, statistically insignificant % of people, mostly on this
mailing list, who have a significant commitment in Pentax.
I expect most camera brands are the same, 99.9% of users have a body and a
couple of lenses, the other 1/10% buy everything else.

My grandfather always drove a Buick. My father never drove Buicks. For that
matter, he never did "commit" to one brand. He drove a couple of Chevys,
then a Dodge, then a Merc, then a Ford, then an Olds, and finally, another
Ford.
