Perhaps Canon realized most consumers didn't understand or notice the importance of flare control so they didn't waste their money on this technology.

I didn't say that. The above opinion was my speculation only. The word "waste" didn't mean MC was a waste of resource. I wish I could clarify better with my limited ability on English. Please stop taking this whole argument personal.
