Hi! ft> Thanks for your thoughts. Actually, I quick snapped these two as I was ft> walking by. I really was concentrating on getting the two subjects more ft> or less right. I knew they were sitting on the step in front of a store, ft> but really didn't notice the other details until I had the print done up.
It oh so often happens to me, though usually to the opposite direction. I tend to not notice such things as poles growing out of people heads, and so on. Though now, I try my darndest <grin> to avoid that. Which by the way is going to be quite impossible if I were to shoot walking by without actually looking through the viewfinder. ft> I must say (and I'm no expert, that's for sure!), in my opinion, all one ft> must do to get shots like that is walk around with a camera (any camera, ft> although the smaller and quieter the better), and keep your eyes open. ft> Take enough pics, and a few are bound to be acceptable. Shooting lots is ft> what's needed, though. I never leave the house without a camera - and ft> that's not to say that I burn 2 or 3 rolls every day on weekends. Some ft> days I shoot only a few frames, others I do shoot several rolls. But, if ft> I don't have a camera, I keep seeing all sorts of missed shots. Same here. I often see shots that I'd love to take, but I am cameraless. ft> As much as I love my little CL, until I got that a bit more than a year ft> ago, I was using my MX as my street camera. I was going to buy a 2.8 40mm ft> Pancake, and I think that on the MX, would have made a nice, compact, ft> relatively quiet (though not as quiet as the CL) and unobtrusive steet ft> camera. My combo is going to be ME Super (when and if it comes out of repairs alive) and M 35/2.8 bought specially for that purpose. ft> Then Dave Chang Sang put his CL for sale on this list, and Cotty, not ft> minding his business as usual, told everyone how amazing the 40mm ft> Summicron C is (and it is!), and for only four times the price of a ft> Pancake, I was sucked into buying the CL. I'm quite certain that Dave ft> sent Cotty a commission - they were clearly working as a team... <g> ft> I've never regretted it, though. It's a lovely little camera. Oh yes, I saw Cotty advertise his CL too. Well, too rich for my blood. Though I think ME Super and M 35/2.8 is not too bad a combo. Thanks anyway <big grin>. Boris
