checked mine once more. In al circumstances (winder of or on, camera of or
on) there is always metering when winder release is pressed. (newer type MX)

Nope.  I did a test before I posted.  This is what happens
in my hands with my equipment.  That's my story and I'm
sticking with it.  BTW, the MX used was the older (metal
film holder) version.....
