That depends.
If a full-frame equivalent to 35mm kills 645/120 as a format
then going after that with good equipment would be consistent
with their pro market approach.

Now, if they could garner a sensor deal with either Fuji or Kodak
to get good volume prices, and then sell their own back, providing
the customer with a single-source large sensor (no longer "medium format") solution, 
that would be a good thing.  There would be no
blaming the back, the camera firmware, etc., just like with office
computer/software problems.  Just go to Pentax for the Pro solution.
I can't think of anything better for the pro.

This may take 2-3 more years, though.
