lol! I forgot I had a spare ist D lying around the house. I just did a quick
test, and it appears that I don't have to send my ist D back (damn! Because
the ist D is still under warranty while the lens isn't..). Anyway, I've
noticed that at 2.8, autofocusing on text doesn't emphasise the edges. I
assume the temporary workaround would be shooting at 5.6 and smaller, but
then that's just hiding the wrong focus in the extra DOF. Anybody know how
much sending in a Sigma lens for a CLA costs (assuming it's for an
adjustment of the AF, if that's possible, what ranges am I looking at)?
