Don't let lack of talent stop you. It hasn't stopped me. <insert

Here's a tip: select a picture that is not fully worthy, scan it
at high resolution, open it in your favorite graphics editor, and
then crop like mad.
One of the most common faults in photography (or should I say
snapshooting?) is failure to get close enough to the subject.
Cropping away the extraneous surround can go a long way toward
turning a ho-hum photo into something not too bad, after the fact.
Besides, submitting to PUG will make you pay closer attention to what
you see through the viewfinder.
Don't worry about criticism, if any. Even when your submission is
bad-worse-worst, the criticism is always done with velvet gloves to
prevent bruising of the ego.
