Isn't it they other way 'round. To define an image editor (like Phase One)
in Thumbs Plus? Other programs work like that i.e. Irfan View.

Sorry - I know - I confused them!

I started to fiddle around with ACDSee - it's just Soo0 Convenient - and the
shots look great. But ASDSee uses special files for image info.

And it's much cheaper than Thumbs Plus. 50 Euro incl. new RAW-tools and the
ability to make PDF files and slide shows and WBMP (what's that?) files.
It's really tempting. Except I don't know if there's a support for Phososhop
"Document Info". I'll aske them.

Cheers

The plugin doesn't work for Photoshop, only in ThumbsPlus. The raw
converter for Photoshop is a different story all together. The
ThumbsPlus converter works quite nicely for viewing purposes, but not
much more, imo.

The reason I use both ThumbsPlus and C1 is that they are quite
complimentary. ThumbsPlus is my archiving and indexing software, where
I assign keywords and annotations, sort thumbnails in albums after
themes, etc. C1 is *the* raw converter, imo. I haven't tried the
latest incarnation of Bibble, though, which also has a tradition for
being a good tool.

The only feature I miss in C1, btw, is the ability to associate file
types with the program. It would have been *so* neat to be able to
open PEFs in C1 from ThumbsPlus. Apparently, this is a feature they
are not looking into at PhaseOne. In their user forum there are posts
from people who wants this all back to 2001. :-(

Interestingly, since I bought C1 and ThumbsPlus, I use Photoshop a lot
less. Not sure if I could have done without, but it's certainly not my
most important imaging software anymore.
