I think something like 600 jobs have been lost (announced last in the last week or two) - but that's the last 600 manufacturing jobs of what was once a workforce of many thousands. Basically, all that's left is sales reps. Digital is doing to film what CD's did to vinyl. They said it would take about 10 years for them to phase out records - it took far less.
