I've seen this before.  There's 2 causes I've noted:
1. There's something broken underneath the aperture ring.
    Sometimes one of the springs used for the A position is loose.
    Easily repaired with a very tiny screw.
2. Plastic fatigue.  Saw one lens where the ring had been
    stretched a bit.  Perhaps a faulty piece of plastic.
    This made it ride unevenly and feel loose on the lens.
    The solution is a replacement ring.  Not necessarily a
    worthwhile undertaking.

My son, who just got a used ZX-10, wants to sell his A50/1.7.
