I won't get into what you should have done, or how the seller should have described the listing, but if you're not happy with the item, and if it doesn't meet the standard of "perfect" as was described in the listing, tell the guy you want ALL your money back, including shipping, and don't fail to chastise him for not using a box and packing the item well. If for some reason you MUST have THIS holder for the camera clinic, then ask for a refund that'll cover the cost of the film you'll need, but really, that locks you into keeping the item should he agree. Since you can't test the holder, you may end up with one that doesn't work just right .... but if you're willing to underwrite the cost of that experiment, that seems to be a reasonable solution. BTW, how much is film for that puppy. Maybe ask for a few $$ more if the film's cheap - enough for two or three packs.

I certainly looks ex+ in the photo and as you can see was described as in perfect condition. Also he did not box it but shipped it in a padded envelop (These do tend to be somewhat delicate), despite the fact that for Priority Mail the PO will provide free boxes. > > http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7521363779&rd=1&sspagenam e=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1 > > Normally I would send it back demanding a 100% refund. However, I am under some constraints timewise and financialwise. I basically want to have it for the GFM Camera Clinic, but being poor, poor, poor I can only afford the holder this month and to order the film next month, so I can not even test the thing until then. > > The guy has 70+ positives and no negatives so I thought I could trust the description and thus used the BIN although I figured I could save quite a bit by bidding until I got one at my price. I guess what is bothering me most is this "not as described" thing happening more and more often. Sure I can probably negotiate with him and get my money back or a partial refund in return for giving him positive feedback, but I am feeling that is self-serving and does not help in the end as we see more and more of this. > > So I am asking for opinions about what I should do. How do you guys look at this kind of thing?
