dishonest buyers planning to negotiate after the auction end... With
just 5 feedbacks total I may be in real trouble... Not to mention that

I'm from Portugal, I've been selling very well.
Regardless of what has been said on this list most dishonest Ebayers are
sellers, not buyers.
The buyer trying to negotiate after the auction is a good thing if there
were any false or inacurate claims on the auction. Demanding a full
refund including shipping both ways would be worse. Giving bad feedback
would be worse. Making a complaint to Paypal would be worse. The buyer
just taking it without compaining wouldn't be fair for him if he was
mislead by an inacurate auction text/photos.
What do I do? Try to find someone, may be on the list, willing to sell
the darn thing for me for some percentage of the deal? Put the sucker
on the shelf and forget it ever existed? Face the music? Try to
produce such an auction description that will eliminate the
possibility of complaint?
Shipping is a great part of Ebay buying and selling. No one should sell
something for you without actually seing it. Just sell it and take the
risk. Write an accurate description and take some close-up pictures.
Don't say it's perfectly, say something like "the glass is clean with no
scratches, just a tiny bits of dust. cosmetically it's an 8 out of 10.
diaphragm works good and has no oil on the blades"

P.S. OK, I know the converter does not have a diaphragm but you get the
point.
