Look for a second hand Sigma 18-35 3.5-4.5 manual focus. Lightweight (in the negative sense of the term) construction but decent optics for the price. I had one for a while and really enjoyed using it. You should be able to find a used one for around $100 - I bought mine new for just under $200 several years ago.
