That seems to make more sense than an f/7.2 lens displaying as f/8.0. I
wonder why, if it can't read f/7.2 it doesn't default to f/7.1, which
would
be much nearer the mark.

I would, too, but can the camera display f/7.1? I only ever saw 5,6 - 6,7
- 8,0 - 9 - etc. on a Pentax, in which case it's defendable to show 8,0.
However, I'm a bit behind the latest & greatest. It could be that the *ist
camera's show more stops than Z and MZ camera's...
