It is becuse it is inspired in the 'traditional' SLR
layout, but applied in a modern camera with some
modern features. You hardly need a user guide. No
menus, just a few switches and buttons. (Maybe the
less intuitive operation is to override the ISO
setting).
Please, let us know what do you think once you test
it. And, with all the bad words about it, I am sure
that you'll find that it focusses fast !
