I have that same head on my 058 leg set, it's pretty heavy duty for the 055 leg set, just make sure you weight the tripod down when you go cantilevering the camera on the centre post. One of the 166 Apron Support (little bag that hangs between the legs which can be loaded up for added weight) might be a wise purchase. My carbon Manfrotto tripods are a similar set-up, they work quite well and my Super Pro 3D head is very smooth in operation with the stock lube.
