IMHO, Tokina builds better lenses than Sigma (poor) and Tamron (better -
does not apply to the adaptols). I have the 17mm f3.5 Tokina and have been
very pleased with it as the construction is very good and optically not a
slouch either. In addition, it is the only third party lens that I carry on
a regular basis. In fact I will be leaving Sydney for central Queensland her
shortly and it is in the kit.
