No colour management and 16 bit support make it unsuitable for my workflow.
But the price is right for many.
Same here. If you want those two features, a fork of the Gimp
called "Cinepaint" does do deep color and color management. It's based on
an old (GTK 1.x) version of the gimp and is lacking lots of the whizbang
bells and whistles. It will, however, provide the basic image
manipulation tools and preserve deep color.
