Both, actually, but it seems that the DS requires a more deliberate approach. The OK button on the DS moves in and out, it's just that nothing seems to happen when it's pressed. I've even used a pen tip. The Sony controls feel more like a Mercedes compared to the more Ford-like DS controls.
