I understand what you're saying since atheism, at least as far as I know, denies the existence of a supernatural being. To me though, in all other ways, it is.

Maybe I digressed somewhat from the topic. I apologize. However, it still qualifies as a religion that does not believe in God under definition 4 for religion.

I'll let it drop.

Maybe, but that's equivocation. The whole discussion centres around phrase
'under God', so we're not talking about belief systems in general, but about
a specific belief in God. By definition atheists don't hold this belief, so
atheism is not a religion.
